This position is responsible for:
• Contribute to and ensure the implementation of the ARC Haiti DRR strategic framework;
• Participate to update the DRR strategic framework and the program implementation plans;
• Oversee the setting and the implementation of the projects;
• Ensure coherence and synergy between the projects;
• Recruit, manage and support the team, and ensure appropriate individual support to team members;
• Propose a coherent training plan using agreed tools (baseline survey, VCA, CDRT, Disaster Plans, etc.);
• Contribute to the development of education, communication and training tools, materials, methodologies and campaigns;
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals;
• Participate in the integration of DRR components into the ARC programs;
• Coordinate with the RCRC Movement (PNS, IFRC, ICRC), and with other agencies working in the DRR sector;
• Ensure close coordination with the HRC and encourage its involvement in all facets of the projects;
• Participate and represent ARC in local, national & regional DRR meetings and inter-agency committees as required.

The DRR national coordinator should have the following qualifications:
• College graduate
• Working experience as program coordinator
• Working experience in community-based programs, community outreach and participatory methodologies
• Working experience in project management and team management
• Strong knowledge on national DRR policies, strategies & practices
• Studies and/or working experience in the Disaster Risk Management field
• Have excellent communication skills
• Leadership skills, teamwork and relationship building
• French, Creole and English Fluency
